Getting Ready for Your Tan
For the best tanning results and a long lasting tan we recommend
- Getting manicures and pedicures before tanning.
- Waxing or shaving the day before your tan.
- Exfoliating your whole body to remove any flaking skin.
- Come to your appointment freshly showered with bare skin, no lotion, deodorant, oils, makeup, etc.
- Wear loose, dark clothing and open shoes to your appointment.
After Your Tanning Session
It is important to remember the DHA continues to react to your skin for up to 24 hours after spray. Full color is not realized until 24 hours.
To help preserve the color and duration of your tan we recommend
- Do not get wet after your spray! No sweating, swimming, showering, washing dishes, splashing, etc.
- Do not participate in activities that will make you sweat before rinsing your tan.
- Wait 2-4 hours before rinsing in the shower.
- Quick rinse with no soap. Rinse neck/chest thoroughly to prevent blotchy tan. Pat dry.
- You may resume normal showering/bathing with soap in 24 hours.
- No exfoliating, loofahs, washcloths…this will fade your tan.
- Moisturize daily to extend the life of your tan and avoid patchy skin.
- Use soaps/moisturizers that are sulfate free.
- Purchase one of our tanning after care kits.
